After nearly seven years and one thousand posts, I am saying goodbye to this blog.
Sometime last year a friend of mine asked me why I got one of my piercings. I rattled off some reasons that sounded good (and which were admittedly proximal rather than distal causes) before she told me that it was okay to have gotten the piercing just because I wanted it. The wanting was enough.
I could list many, many reasons as to why I'm saying goodbye to this blog, but the truth is that ultimately I'm saying goodbye because I want to. I'm ready to move on to something different. I am not finished writing and I don't know what that will look like in the years ahead, but I know that this particular blog has run its course.
This blog's history will remain published on the Internet, however it might require some digging to find. On the off-chance that something I've written enters your mind and you'd like to have a copy of it, feel free to contact me. I will be happy to track down anything you might like.
